Act 1 - Another Glorious Day in the Corps!

"god damnit" nuts yells as he slams into the wall beside bronx, fumbleing with his helmet he finaly managing to shake it off. sweat beads on his face as the exertion and humid air take their toll, a strong smell of sulfur, cordite and burned flesh fill the room with an overpowering odour. smoke still billows from the napalm fires that roys incinerator started, with nowhere to go they are slowly filling the celling of the coridor with smoke
"we are screwed" nuts yells as he reloads his pulse rifle "roys gone man, one of those aliens skull f*cked him with its tail, and bulls fucked up man. blew half his damn leg off"

As the creatures continue to push through the doorway 8-Ball begins a steady retreat walking backwards around the corner, slowly over Roy's body. More and more dark creatures explode by the doorway, bits of acid showering down painfully over Bull and around him in tiny specs, it is clear the floor beneath the kill zone is beginning to eat away.

With a vicious hiss the acid on Roy's Flame Unit eats through the fuel canister. A violent fiery wave of flame suddenly fills the corridor's corner zone, completely engulfing 8-Ball in flames and as the wave disappears as suddenly as it materialized, leaving 8-Ball ignited in an intense blaze from head to toe and small patches of Bull's clothing on fire.

holding his hand up infornt of his face to shield his eyes from the intense heat nuts looks back down the coridor towards 8-balls flaming body running too and fro, bouncing of the walls of the confined space flailing wildly as his flesh is consumed by flames. noticing the floor beneath 8-ball bow as the acid eats it away nuts fires into it with his pulse rifle, letting the explosive shells tear up the already weakend floor beneath 8-ball and bull

Bronx looks back over his shoulder briefly to see what floor the turbo lift is on, his expression worried and teeth gritted continuing to fire his rifle as he does so.

as Bull trie's crawling toward's the turbo lift he notice's one of the alien's just staring at him Bull know's he does'nt stand a chance, he pull's out his pistol and start's firing at the alien and yell's

"COME ON...COME ON..YOU CHICKEN SH*T..."

the alien start's moving toward's Bull it's agility making it hard for Bull to hit, as it get's closer Bull is running out of ammo so he pull's out a grenade and pulls the pin, turning his pistol back on to the alien he let's off his last few round's which only seem to make the creature more angry. Within a split sencond the alien is on top of Bull staring into his eye's and hissing with his last word's Bull say's to it

"ADIO'S AMIGO"

the grenade goes off spraying alien goop in every direction.

Sheltered miraculously from the explosion over six feet away, Nuts and Bronx are pushed to the floor by the concussion of the blast. Towards the corner of the corridor the grenade is amplified by the enclosed space and it quickly becomes evident why the blast did not shred the Colonial Marines as a tiny breech begins sucking out air dreadfully fast, than with the fury of escaping pressure the hole grows larger as it tears more of its hull out into space. The air being sucked out into space kills the fires burning within the hallway and as it grows in intensity what is left of the dead marine bodies inside of the small space is pulled into the expanding gap in the far wall.

With a cheerful automated bell sound, the doors to the elevator finally open as the Marines scramble not to be pulled down towards the abyss by finding what handholds they can as the pull becomes a almost inescapable force.

grabbing hold of the elevator door frame nuts pulls himself slowly inside against the gail force winds, his vision blurring from the lack of air and the exertion, the beads of sweat dripping on his face fly away as the stations atmosphere bleeds out quickly. remembering his training nuts exhales constantly to keep his lungs from bursting.
reaching back and grabbing bronx's hand nuts mouth moves as if speaking but in the minimal atmosphere left in the corridor his his words are lost.
as his vission starts to narrow the negative air pressure lessens and nuts manages to pull bronxs inside the elevator, slamming the heel of his boot onto the flashing red EMERGENCY SEAL botton.

Bronx scrambles into the turbo lift with the asistance of Nuts, bracing himself the best he can once he has done so to avoid being sucked backout.

As the lift doors close with a pressurized hiss and the rush of oxygen reaches Bronx and Nuts's lungs the men have a chance to look around their new surroundings. The elevator is a small room with one visible exit back out into the hallway once the door opens, with a switch board of buttons beside it leading to every deck, a red light is flashing somewhere near the center decks at the Natural Habitat level, the room itself has a few feet in every direction in a box shape. Before the men have a chance to look after themselves and their tattered equipment drenched now in sweat a very loud thunk raps against the lifts doors from the other side.

hearing the aliens clawing at the elivator door nuts quickly presses the down botton
"ok so this sh*t just got real, back to the APC and lets get the fuck out of here" nuts says as the elivator begins to decend with a jolt. looking around the small compartment nuts coughs loudly, before spitting on the door ahead of him.
turning his head to the side to look at bronx, nuts picks up his shotgun and reloads it
"you good man?"

Bronx gives himself the once over, gingerly touching the burnt section in the front of his shirt, before undoing the shirt to expose the burnt flesh beneath. "Sheeeit! no wonder it hurt like a fricken' bastard. Better get some dressin' on this."
Moving to shoulder his rifle, he pauses and pops the clip to inspect its contents. Seeing that it is nearly a full clip he slams it home with a sharp click and slings it across his shoulder before taking out a medpack.
Leaning heavily against the wall of the elevator he begins to unpack and apply a battle dressing to his chest.
"'Ey Nuts...the bastards got 'em all ...Roy ..Bull ... least we don't gotta put up with his stink no more .. 8-Ball ... f#$%in sorry bastards tha' lot o' them." With an audible sigh he pauses his ministrations a moment . "So what now huh? Which f#$%in way?"

breaking his shotgun open nuts looks towards bronx as 2 spent shells eject from the breach
"my vote is on anywhere but here" nuts says as he fishes into a opcket on his combat webbing, after a moment he produces two fresh shells and slides them into the breach before snapping the shotgun closed

bronx grimaces as he slaps begins to apply the bandage to his wounds "Agreed .. though a friggin' armoury would definately improve my mood somewhat. these pop guns dont seem to keep those f#$%ers outta mah face ... an' can definately use some more tin plating round my sorry arse."

The elevator comes to a sudden stop. A red light begins flashing on the console before the two marines indicating several errors involving the elevator, some on it some on the shaft above it. The power inside the shaft dies for a moment before with a hum it kicks back in once more.

Bronx eyes the warnings warily, glancing towards Nuts as the lights flicker out. "That can't be good bro .....". Quickly he finishes his bandaging and rebuttons his shirt, unslinging his rifle and cocking it once more.

nuts stands up and moves across towards the door "well if this things broken then its not much good to us.. cover the door" nuts says as he pulls away a peice of the panneling and grabs hold of the doors manual release lever, beginning to work it up and down

"On it bud!". Bronx raises his rifle and sights towards the door. "Just be ready to fall back so that acid shit don't get on ya if We got Uglies!"
